Casual and comfortable. Think tropical vibes—we're in Rio! Ashley's favorite is Farm Rio, and you'll typically find us both in Havaianas. In fact, you may want to leave some space in your suitcase to pick up a pair or two at local prices.
For the ceremony, we recommend shorts and button-down shirts for men, sundresses for women, and flip-flops or sandals for everyone. Don't forget a bathing suit and athletic wear to take advantage of bike rentals or the hotel gym.

No, please don’t bring us a gift. We have everything we could ever need, and your presence is truly the only gift we want. We're already asking you to travel to South America to celebrate with us; that's more than enough!

US & Canadian citizens need a visa to enter Brazil. UK & EU passport holders do not need visas. For those who need a visa, we’ll help you with the online application in plenty of time before you travel.

Credit cards and/or Apple Pay are accepted almost everywhere (even street and beach vendors). Make sure you tap to pay; don’t insert or swipe.
We’d suggest getting a small amount of cash from ATMs at the airport upon arrival, but don’t overdo it since most places prefer credit card payment.

The Grand Hyatt Rio is about 30-40 minutes from Galeão International Airport (GIG). Upon arrival, follow signs to Uber pickup. Use Uber just like you would in the US. Your Uber driver likely will not speak English, but don't worry since the app will tell them where to go.

Absolutely! Like any major city, use common sense. Specific to Rio, don’t wear jewelry or carry designer bags. Use Uber for transportation, which is just like using it in the US but cheaper!
